The following recipe is from Thrive Magazine, a plant-based lifestyle magazine. I am going to share what products I used, little things I did differently, and my opinion of the recipe.
I am a college student and sometimes want pizza, but don’t want to pay for Pizza Hut, Blaze, Domino’s. Etc.. Also, in College Station, I haven’t been about to find the Daiya frozen pizza that I like yet, so recently, I decided to just make my own with stuff I had on hand already.
My absolute favorite watching snack in popcorn and Junior Mints. I recommend trying it, if you never have. Sadly though, Junior Mints are not vegan. Continue reading “Junior Mints Copycat Recipe”
I cook a majority of the time. I have decided to just list some of my favorite vegan finds from the average grocery store.

Ripple Pea Milk – I really like this milk. It makes great smoothies and the best golden milk. It is a great option, if you are looking for something lower fat than some of the other options.
Silk Protein Nutmilk – Silk actually makes a really good almond and cashew milk that has 10 g of pea protein! I have tried both the original and chocolate and really enjoy just drinking the chocolate nutmilk straight. This is definitely a good option, if you are trying to add in more protein and don’t mind the higher fat content.
My newest favorite is Silk’s Oat Milk. It is really great for baking because it does not change the flavor.
I really enjoy lifting weights and am always looking for ways to add more protein into my diet.
Evolve – I have tried many of the pre-made protein shakes and this one is by far my favorite. It does not have that weird chalky taste. I always by the Classic Chocolate flavor.
Protein Nut Spread -This will be delicious on probably anything because chocolate.
Kay’s Protein Cereal -I plan on eating these with my almond cashew protein milk. That will be 20g of protein in a bowl of cereal!
Kay’s Snacks -I am excited to try these for a snack!
Ben and Jerry’s Dairy Free Ice Cream – my two favorite flavors have been Peanut Butter Half Baked and P.B. & Cookies. I am excited to try more and see what other flavors they come out with!
NadaMoo!– If I am not eating Ben & Jerry’s, my next choice is NadaMoo. They do more of the classic flavors and is a Austin based company.
So Delicious– They make a delicious alternative to Cool Whip. There ice cream sandwhiched and bars are also good. However, the one pint of cashewmilk ice cream i tried (Cookie Dough) was only sub-par.
FOUND AT COSTCO
White Cheddar Hippeas – I am sooo excited for these. I love Cheezits and Goldfish, but they aren’t vegan. It is really hard to find vegan cheese flavored snacks.
Not So Good Products
Snow Monkey Frozen Treat– I wanted to get on board with this, but the griddy consistency kept me from doing so.
